About
About Lebialem Women of Georgia ( LEWOGA) The mission already eloquently stated. Aligned with its mission, the vision for LEWOGA is to become a sisterhood support group that engages and empower its members to be their authentic selves and realize their full potentials. To achieve its mission, LEWOGA must remain dynamic, creative and innovative. The idea of the group conceived by our own sister, Mrs Josephine Atem in 2023 was welcomed. Energized, Lebialem women took it to the next level, the women galvanized themselves and set in motion the consensus to unite in efforts to help the women of Lebialem in Georgia in times of need fostering sisterhood Solidarity and support. Membership is open to all the women living in Georgia who share the same cultural heritage by birth, marriage, or any other affiliation to Lebialem. To God be the glory as the group is endowed with many diverse talents and will continue to grow in its outreach and networking and also has the potential to continue to make a meaningful impact. LEWOGA is a novel group but on tract to be a formidable network of sisters who take their commitment to the group very seriously. Since its inaugural meeting of January 2024, the group has its executive in place, and has not only enacted and adopted its bylaws, but also continue to stay progressive and dynamic with the commendable work the executive, Committee leaders and members are doing. Looking ahead, this privileged group of Lebialem women of Georgia ( LEWOGA) will continue to support women’s rights. Engage in the community and empower Lebialem women. United together in solidarity and teamwork the group remains stronger.
Long live LEWOGA!
